This workshop will begin by building a foundation of trust to share our writing. Guidelines for effectively responding to others writing will be reviewed. A writing exercise focused on our spiritual journeys will be given and participants will write and then share their writing with the group at the first meeting. I will guide the group to apply effective responding techniques to make this a safe and positive environment for all participants. Exploring the various stages of one’s spiritual journey—or journey to greater consciousness—will be explored. Participants will be given at-home writing assignments to create writing to share at each subsequent meeting. By the end of this workshop it’s my hope that this will grow into a self-sustaining group. “How vain it is to sit down to write when you have not stood up to live.” —Henry David Thoreau |
