Using story gourds is a method of Native American storytelling. Elders created gourds
to pass stories and traditions to future generations. In this small intimate gathering,
we will each have time to sit individually with Momfeather, as well as learn the history
and purpose of this time honored form of communication.

Momfeather is a beautiful heart-centered Cherokee elder who received the Kentucky
Colonel Award for service to the State of Kentucky.
She is also an ambassador for the American Indian Mothers.
Momfeather is the director of the Mantle Rock Native Education and Cultural Center
in Marion, KY.
